There is much discussion about Israel. We thought it would be best if we formed our own opinion about it. So we decided to visit this country too. - For the trip we rented a car to be as independent as possible. The journey led us from Tel Aviv to Haifa in the north, then east to Capernaum at the Sea of Galilee. Later we went south to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. From there we continued south to Eilat on the Gulf of Aqaba. We continued for 150km across the Negev desert to Mitzpe Ramon and from there via Be'er Sheva back to Tel Aviv.

For three weeks we travelled all over Israel and got to know the country and its people. There is no doubt about it, the roots of many cultures can be seen here. Cultures from all kinds of countries are present.
This mixture is reflected all over, even on the table. Fruits, vegetables and spices, which have been spoiled by the sun in abundance. Fresh fish is everywhere and the cuisine is a real Eldorado.
