Concrete Light Shafts, Garage Door, Kitchen

We’ve had quite a few fun projects around the house this year! We’ve added three new concrete light shafts and, in September, a new garage door. Plus, a new kitchen has brought us so much joy.

Traveling in 2017

Windward Island, Saint Lucia

Hurricane Irma, which made its dramatic appearance on Wednesday, 6 September, left the British Virgin Islands in ruins, with little left standing. So, we made our way to our new hideaway in 2017.
We explored the Windward Island, Saint Lucia, Paris, London and the Provence in France. Other trips took us to lovely spots in Switzerland.

We’ve made the front of the house a bit better by adding a concrete slab and some new seeping stones to help with the drainage.

Yet another exciting sewing year with ideas made of plenty of flowers that were waiting to happen. Notable examples include a haute-couture blouse made of a precious St-Gallen embroidery, and two dresses that seemed to have grown right in our garden.
