San Diego Zoo

We had an absolute blast at the world-famous San Diego Zoo, which has been voted the #1 zoo in the world for good reason! Nestled in the beautiful Balboa Park, this place is home to over 3,500 animals from more than 650 different species and subspecies. From the moment we stepped in, we were surrounded by incredible wildlife and lush landscapes that made us feel like we were on an adventure in the wild. Whether it was watching the playful pandas or marvelling at the majestic elephants, every corner of the zoo was a new experience. It’s definitely a must-visit if you find yourself in San Diego!

San Diego Zoo

It's easy to see why it's been voted the #1 zoo in the world! Nestled in the stunning Balboa Park, this place is a paradise for animal lovers, housing over 3,500 animals from more than 650 different species. From giant pandas to playful otters, every corner of the zoo offers something amazing to discover.

At the San Diego Zoo, there's a delightful tradition when it comes to naming their adorable koalas. Each one gets an Australian Aboriginal name that reflects its unique personality or a special characteristic. Whether it's a quirky habit or a gentle demeanour, these names bring a personal touch to each koala's story.

It's a charming way to celebrate their heritage and make every visit feel even more special. So, next time you're at the zoo, take a moment to learn about these furry ambassadors and the meanings behind their names!
